A wild, wonderful and warm world of its own
Known as “French Canada” this lush, green landscape with its pastures and plateaux is an undiscovered gem even for the French. It has so much to offer from Nordic cross-country skiing to perusing the cantor (?) spires and characteristic architecture of its villages.
You can, of course, also enjoy the delicious cheeses of the area, such as the iconic comté.
Neighbouring Switzerland, it shares some of its climate, ideal for those who enjoy a fresher, milder holiday, and its cultural richness, including watchmaking craftmanship.
For those with a more adventurous streak, take on the outdoor activities and see if you can spot the native lynx while you’re at it!
